- There is decreasing level stress of head of family due to family belief systems, coping strategy and social support
- There is still a view number of family which couldn’t function optimally
- Families carried out both of coping strategy i.e.,
- coping problem –based strategy
- coping emotion-based
- Family ‘s Instrumental function influenced by seeking social support, health status, & planful problem solving,
- Social support influenced negatively to independence on family’s instrumental functions
- Evoked
great number of huge human victims, the paralyzed of basic services,
basic infrastructure dysfunction, destroy of social & economic
systems
- Family had a high stress level due to loss and lead family’s problems
- Family religion is the most important aspect of family resilience to cope high level stress

- Evoked huge refugee of Madurese, leave their job, asset & property
- Family face economic hardship & pressure :
- Sharp decreasing income per capita (before - after riot : Rp 1.851.033 - Rp 869.725).
- Average of belonged asset (before – after riot : 14 item – 3 item)

strategy to cope the family problems, especially food & health

relocation. More than half of samples have high stress level.

- The lost of family members and family support have a significant effect on mother’s stress level.
